Marwa received a Master of Science in Architecture from University of Siegen, where she concentrated on ‘‘Planning and Building in Existing Structures’’ after having obtained a Bachelor of Science from German-Jordanian University in Amman, including an exchange year in Leipzig and Berlin. Her scientic focus is dealing with existing structures and upgrading them. Respectively, she chose the topic of revitalization of post-war architecture in her hometown Baghdad, for her current doctorate at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (University of Karlsruhe).
Noor obtained international experience in urban design and Architecture by working in numerous global cities including, Baghdad/Iraq, Amman/Jordan, London/UK, Washington/DC, Ghana/Africa and New York/US. Noor also worked in Columbia university as a teaching instructor for the Urban Design program, focusing on the innovative intersection of place-making, ecology, the public realm, and resiliency. Throughout her Professional and academic career Noor worked on numerous research topics, tackling issues that deals with cities’ resiliencies, ecology, housing, post war architecture, urban sprawl and urban regeneration.
